| I have made art forever. Sometimes I plan my work, but I like best of all not knowing what I’m going to make and watching it become itself. I like to work with clay and mixed media, sometimes choosing just the right found object or other material to make the work complete. My studio is full of “stuff” I’ve gleaned; objects of all sorts seem to insist on becoming part of my collection.
I am also a teacher. I’ve taught ceramics at Foothill College (with an MFA from San Jose State University) and the Palo Alto Art Center since 1980. I feel lucky to have such a rewarding way to connect with other people. |
